Before finding you're new design however, you'll want to make sure it fits on your existing fixture. For that, you'll want to be aware of the three most common fitting types:

• The clip-on fitter simply snaps right onto the light bulb itself. These tend to be used for the smaller shades commonly seen on chandeliers, ceiling lights and wall sconces.
• The spider fitter is by far the most widely used on table lamps and floor lamps. For many of our designs, the correct size harp (the metal fixture upon which the lamp shade rests) is included free with your purchase.
• The uno fitter is simple style that attaches directly to the lamp socket. You'll sometimes find these fitters on small table lamps.
