He has rendered yeoman service to society in general and to thecause of education in particular. At present Shri, Mohd Rafiq Ahmed is thepresident & chairman of ARQUM WELFARE & EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY, BIJAPUR(REG NO:240/19/20). Which is running a number of educational institutions fromnursery to high school in different parts Karnataka. He also running number ofschemes and programs for development of old age persons, women & child, heis also running micro finance, health centers, dairy form, horticulturetraining & development centers for rural development purpose. Shri, MohdRafiq Ahmed is a gentleman endowed with rare vision and administrative acumen.Under his able guidance and leadership ARQUM WELFARE & EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY,BIJAPUR and TAHA SCHOOL have been catering to the educational needs of society.All the institutions he has founded are unique in their own way and are thereas monuments to his zeal. A BRIEF INTRODUCTIONTO TAHA SCHOOL: TAHA SCHOOL is run byARQUM WELFARE & EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY, BIJAPUR (A.W.E.SOCIETY BIJAPUR) underthe able guidance of Shri, Mohd Rafiq Ahmed, chairman, Smt, S. Shahina,director of TAHA SCHOOL. It consists of spacious and well- ventilatedclassrooms and is provided with all the modern infrastructural facilities suchas smart classes comfortable furniture, latest materials for play as well asfor learning.

SCHOOL BACKGROUND: The school was established in 2012 and it ismanaged by the Private Unaided Management. It is located in urban area. It islocated in BIJAPUR CITY block of BIJAPUR district of KARNATAKA. The school consistsof Grades from Nursery, LKG, UKG, & 1 to 5. The school is coeducational andit does have an attached pre-primary section. The school is residential innature and is not using school building as a shift school. During the previousacademic year, the school functioned for 230 days URDU / KANNADA & ENGLISHare the medium of instructions in this school. This school is approachable byall weather roads. In this school academic session starts in June.

SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE: TAHA SCHOOL have well equipped libraries andfacilities are provided for playing indoor and outdoor games. There arequalified & competent teachers to take care of students. The main objectiveof these institutions is to insure all-round development of young boys &girls who join these institutions. That is to impart ‘MAN MAKING EDUCATION’ asconceived by swami Vivekananda. “Computer Education” is also introduced in theschool in an appropriate manner and as per the suggestions of experts in thefield & having 3 computer aided learning lab (SMART CLASSES). The school arranged medical checkup for its students during theprevious academic year the school has 6 computers for teaching and learningpurposes and all are functional. TEACHERS: The school has a regular Head Master/Teacher.The school has 9 regular teachers in position. All the teachers of school arefemale teachers. It has no Contract Teacher. The school has 3 nonteachingstaff. All teachers of school are having graduate and above degrees. On theother hand, all teachers have professional certification /degrees. The PupilTeacher Ratio (PTR) of the school is 25:1 and the Student Class room Ratio(SCR), 25:1. on an average, about 25 students sit in one classroom which soundscomfortable. During the previous academic year, no teacher was engaged for evena single day in nonteaching assignments.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: The authorities of the school believe in theefficiency of the extra curricular activities in the life of the pupils.
